Congratulations to BVFF Life member Sherry Steele, who has been named the 2026 FFI Dick Nelson Fly Tying Teaching Award. Although Sherry lives in Sisters, OR, she has been a member of BVFF since 2012, and has been a demonstration fly tyer at previous Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo events.

Congratulations also to John Kreft, winner of the 2026 FFI Buz Buszek Fly Tying Memorial Award.  John is also a resident of Sisters, OR and has been a regular demonstration fly tyer at the BVFF sponsored Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo.  John will again be demonstrating his master fly tying skills at the 2027 Expo in January.
