Ron Mayfield
Ron has been fishing since he was 4 years old and fly fishing and fly tying since he was 13 - for more than 50 years. Growing up on the Texas Gulf Coast, Ron specializes in tying warmwater and saltwater fly patterns and is known for his innovative deer hair patterns, such as the Lilly Pad Jumping Frog, Mohawk Minnow Pinfish (featured in Fly Tyer Magazine), and the Umpqua Rattle Mullet. Many of his fly designs are effective in Texas big bass lakes, on the saltwater flats, and in the surf (nearshore and offshore).
