BVFF has traditionally held the White Fish Derby, an annual event for many years. Last year (2021) a virtual derby replaced the in-person group event.
This year we will be holding both. The virtual derby is until the 18th, please post you entries by 06:00, 2/19/22 the day in-person event so they can be part of the events judging.
VIRTUAL DERBY RULES:
1. All participants must be current BVFF members for 2022.
2. Each participant must register for the event. Registration is by using the registration link for this event on the www.BVFF.com website.
3. Derby participants will post directly to the BVFF Facebook Page. In your submittal add the following data:
o A picture of the whitefish held next to a tape measure. Make sure the tape is readable. See document HERE on measuring your fish.
o Date and Time of catch.
o Location (which river, e.g., Boise Main, SF Boise, etc.)
o Fly used (optional)
Note: Members without Facebook access can mail their entries to outings@bvff.com
4. The virtual portion of the derby begins Feb 1 and will conclude on Feb 18.
5. The White Fish Derby continues with the in-person event, held at the South Fork Boise River. Winners will be from the combined entries of both virtual and in-person catch submittals.
6. By posting photo you are giving BVFF rights to post your picture on our website, Facebook, and Instagram.
7. Please use this Hashtag on your photo's: #VWFD_id
PRIZES:
1st Place: Longest Fish: A $25.00 gift certificate from a sponsor of EXPO or a BVFF Logoed Buck Knife (726)
2nd Place: Drawing: The prize not selected by the 1st Place winner
