Speaker: John Cassinelli and Joe Kozfkay
Event: IDFG Fisheries Update
John Cassinelli and Joe Kozfkay are regional fisheries staff that work at IDFG’s Nampa Office. They work on a variety of fisheries from reservoir kokanee to alpine lakes to community fishing ponds. For our meeting, they will be giving a two-part talk.
John will discuss recent monitoring efforts and population trends for prominent regional trout fisheries including the Lower, North Fork, and South Fork Boise rivers.
Joe will provide a brief history and synopsis of “time-out-of-water” as a potential source of mortality during catch-and-release events. Joe will present and discuss the results of recent studies conducted in Idaho.
