Bruneau Sand Dunes Outing This event is a BVFF sponsored event in collaboration with the WFFID women’s fly fishing club!
We have campsite #33. This is not a group site and only has room for 8 people in tents. If we fill this site we have room at some of the trailer/RV sites for folk with tents. There is a $5 entrance fee/vehicle/day and an extra vehicle fee of $5/night. If you have the Idaho Park Pass, you get into the park for free.
This is a great family time and social event with large Bluegill and Bass fishing. Beside the pond at the sand dunes there is excellent fishing at the Snake River, Cove Arm, Crane Falls, Bruneau River and CJ Strike Reservoir. Bring your float tube or pontoon boat. In the past Pico Spiders, Pico Blanco’s (aka Blanco Pico), white spiders, small bass plugs, mouse patterns, and Stayner Ducktails have been productive, but check with the local fly shops for recommended flies.
We will meet Friday night for a social gathering at group site #33 in the Broken Wheel Campground after fishing. Bring a chair and your favorite beverage. Wild and unbelievable fishing tails are guaranteed to be told with conviction and gusto.
On Saturday at 4:30 pm we will have a BBQ with the women’s fly fishing club at Shelter Side A in Eagle Cove. BVFF will provide the grills, hamburgers, and hot dogs and the women’s club will provide the side dishes.
If you need a campsite for yourself you will need to reserve a site right away. As of this posting most of the sites are booked.
You can reserve your campsite online at: http://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/.
