Boise Parks & Recreation will be holding a dedication for the new Willow Lane Sports Complex boat ramp. The dedication ceremony will be held Sept 29 10:30 AM. Representatives from each of the sponsor organizations will be present at the dedication.
BVFF has been active sponsor in making this project happen, including Boise City Mayor & Council, the Boise Fire Department, Idaho State Parks, Idaho Fish & Game, and Garden City. BVFF contributed $5000 to this project. See our web site page on this project.
As a sponsor we have been asked to have representatives present for the dedication. Tom Governale (Boise Park & Rec) has suggested that we have a few attendees in a drift boat, or pontoon boats for the pictures.
IF YOU CAN ATTEND THIS CEREMONY, PLEASE REGISTER. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WE CAN HAVE A GOOD ATTENDANCE FOR THIS MILESTONE EVENT.
This project has been in the works for more than two years, and was completed in August of this year. The boat ramp will open up a 2 1/2 mile stretch of the Boise River from Willow Lane to Westmoreland Park in Eagle. Dick Frencer and others from BVFF have spent many hours on this project.
